.020 oversize valve guides have been made available for servicing 1938 to 1942 Indian Four aluminum cylinder heads in which the original valve guide holes have opened up to the extent that standard size valve guides cannot be used.
It is necessary to ream the valve guide holes to .581″ allowing a .0015″ to .002″ press fit.
There are two methods commonly used when installing valve guides in aluminum heads:
Heat the cylinder head with a torch or an electric plate to approximately 3500 and press the valve guides into place.
Submerge the cylinder head in boiling water and pack the valve guides in dry ice for several minutes — then press
the valve guides into place.

Models 17 and 19 are packed six, (6} bicycles of the same model to a crate. Only a small number of these BOYS and GIRL’S models have been received and orders in lots of 6 each will be filled while the supply lasts. Only a limited number of crates of these MEN’S and LADIES’ are available, and while there are more of these larger bicycles than of the first two models, orders will have to be accepted on a “first come–first served” basis.
